灵感来自于 魔法师, the Latin word for “more,” 比利肯教师团: MAT Magis c和idates do more for their students as they grow 和 strengthen their knowledge 和 support for their students by earning their 教育学硕士 with alternative certification. 

This two-year, 37- to 38-credit-hour program is a flexible option for individuals who are already secondary, middle or elementary teachers in Catholic schools or who 都在寻找这些职位. MAT Magis也向兼职教师和小学开放 classroom aides with bachelor’s degrees who want additional credentials. 

  • Unlike Cura Community, MAT Magis is not a residential program. 可选的机会 for spiritual development 和 社区 building are available to students in this 通路. 
  • Alternative certification is available upon meeting Missouri’s Department of Elementary 和中等教育(DESE)要求.

  • If not already employed by a Catholic school, MAT Magis applicants work with the Billiken Teacher Corps program director to secure a school placement that fits their content 背景与教学愿望. 
  • Applicants to the MAT Magis program earn an automatic tuition discount (approximately 1/3) from when employed by a Catholic school at the start of coursework 和 throughout 这个项目.
